REFRACTORY PLATE APPLICATION

is used to increase the working life of refractory plates and at the same time, enhance the overall safety of the operation. This is achieved by enabling plates to slide more easily, prevent plates from sticking, reduce oxidation levels thereby increasing strength, reducing the possibility of air infiltration and at the same time reducing the chances of steel leakage from between the plates. On motor driven plate systems, drive amps are often seen to reduce with the use of . Every factory is different however, and different factories around the world use Daika Seal Special for different reasons according to local requirements.

- Lubrication Performance to improve operations -
- Binding formulations that offer increased life of coating -
- Release properties to enhance ladle maintenance operations -
- Anti-Oxidation capabilities to increase integral strength of plates -

There are two different applications for on refractory plates :

Cold Application

This is performed when the plates are cold, and before they have been installed into the gate system. This application is made to plates that are completely new, and also to plates that have been repaired, or reconditioned.

 Hot Application

This is performed after each heat made by the ladle. is sprayed through the lower nozzle onto the fixed plate, around the area of the bore being used. This application again helps to extend the working life of the plate set.
